Her Royal Highness, The Princess Royal

Chancellor

Her Royal Highness, The Princess Royal is our Chancellor. Her role involves representing the University at a wide range of engagements each year. The Princess Royal has been Chancellor since 1981 and is the 10th person to hold the post since our foundation.

Wendy Thomson Vice-Chancellor

Vice-Chancellor

The principal officer of the University, responsible to the Board of Trustees for the organisation and conduct of the business of the University.

Pro Vice-Chancellor Finance and Operations, Rita Akushie

Pro Vice-Chancellor Finance and Operations

The CFO is responsible for Finance, ITDS, Human Resources, Residential Services and Estates & Facilities Management. She also provides strategic lead for CoSector, a leading provider of innovative digital services.

Professor Jo Fox SAS

Pro-Vice Chancellor for Research and Public Engagement

The Pro Vice Chancellor (Research and Public Engagement) is responsible for the University’s overall research and public engagement strategy. She promotes the University’s role in supporting and facilitating UK research in the humanities, elevating its profile, nationally and globally through engagement activities. She supports and directs the Library Transformation Programme to consolidate and improve overall Library services across the University.
